Travelling to the Hotel AVIVA is possible by many means of transport. Whether by car, train, plane or the AVIVA shuttle – travelling to the Hotel AVIVA is easy, uncomplicated and also environmentally friendly. Simply get to know other guests on arrival and share your car with the AVIVA carpooling service, saving money and protecting the environment. For all those who have travelled without a car, there is now also a BMWi3 available for hire on site.

4170 Sankt Stefan – Afiesl, Höhenweg 1

The road, Höhenweg 1, is not known to some navigation devices, so enter the town center of Sankt Stefan am Walde. From here, the Hotel AVIVA, two kilometers away, is signposted.

When you enter the shorter route, many navigation devices suggest a direct route, usually via winding back roads and country roads. We would like to give you the following tips for getting there:

When arriving from Linz, we recommend taking the B126 federal highway to Bad Leonfelden and then continuing towards Rohrbach. Shortly after Vorderweißenbach, follow the signs for Hotel AVIVA and St. Stefan.

When travelling from Germany, we recommend taking the Passau Nord exit on the A3 and crossing the Wegscheid border, then continuing towards Rohrbach to the Hotel AVIVA. A motorway vignette is not required for this route.

The shuttle is operated by the bus and taxi company Kiesl Reisen with a 9-seater bus. Please note the bus with the logo of the company Bus Reisen Kiesl and the Hotel AVIVA logo.

If the train is delayed, please contact the hotel during your journey (0043 7216 376 00). We will inform the shuttle driver.

The AVIVA CARRIAGE EXCHANGE! Travel to the AVIVA together with the new carpooling exchange in cooperation with blablacar.de.

Simply enter the route and date or perhaps someone has already entered a similar route. The platform also shows journeys from users who do not have the Hotel AVIVA as their destination, but whose route passes by or nearby. In this case, the last part of the journey can be done by taxi (details here). Let’s go with the AVIVA carpooling service!

Alternatively, you can also arrange to travel together directly via our Facebook group or the AVIVA Community.

Arriving by public bus

You can travel by bus several times a week directly / or daily with one change (only a short wait) in Bad Leonfelden from Linz main station to St. Stefan am Walde. The bus terminal in Linz is right next to the main station and a 5-minute walk from the platforms. The journey takes 1:10 to 1:20. We would be happy to pick you up in St. Stefan with the AVIVA shuttle bus free of charge. (Travel time approx. 2 minutes – advance booking at least one week in advance) To avoid waiting, we ask you to let us know your arrival time in advance.

Arrival by Flixbus

The long-distance bus provider Flixbus (www.flixbus.at oder www.flixbus.de) operates daily buses from the largest Austrian and German cities to Linz. The Flixbus stop is directly opposite the main railway station in Linz and about a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. The onward journey by public bus is possible several times a week by direct bus / or daily with one change (only short waiting time) in Bad Leonfelden from Linz main station to St. Stefan am Walde. The journey takes 1:10 to 1:20.

Arriving by train

By train from/to Linz there is a direct connection every 2 hours from Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, Innsbruck, Munich, Zurich and several times a day from Frankfurt, Hamburg and Cologne. Night trains also run from these cities. Please note the current offers from ÖBB or DB with connections to Linz from €9 for a single trip.

There are now improved connections: there are 3 flights a day from Frankfurt to Linz and 3 flights a week from London to Linz.

If you are travelling to the airport by car, you can find a suitable parking space at Fluparks to park cheaply at the airport while you are away.

We recommend travelling on by public bus to Linz main station and on to the AVIVA. We can organise a taxi from Linz Airport or Linz Central Station at a reasonable price. Please refer to the taxi prices listed.
