Questions about the AVIVA rooms
Here you will find the answers to your questions.
Your Mehrblick room is ready for occupancy by 3.00 pm at the latest on the day of arrival (check-in possible until 8.00 pm). Should your arrival be later, please let us know by 6.00 pm by phone or email.
You are welcome to use the wellness area from 10.00 a.m. on the day of arrival and take part in the sports and activity programme.
Would you like to start your vacation with a delicious breakfast buffet? You are welcome to book this for € 25.
On the day of departure we ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 am. The wellness area incl. sports and activity programme is available to you until 8.00 pm – at no extra charge.
All 100 rooms and the 2 suites have the same facilities, with multiple views of the Alps and a quiet location. You are welcome to secure a room on the 4th or 5th floor when you make your booking by booking an AVIVA Sky room. These floors often offer a better view and are usually quieter, as they are further away from the public areas such as the lobby. Ideal if you value a beautiful view and a little more peace and quiet during your stay.
Couples & children are not allowed in the AVIVA – but your dog is :-)!
Dogs are often referred to as man’s best friend. Rightly so, in our opinion. Dogs are very welcome at the AVIVA. Your dog is welcome to take part in the daily hikes and outdoor activity programme highlights.
We have separate dog rooms for our four-legged companions, which are equipped with a tiled floor. The only dog-free zones are the SPA area and our restaurant. Your faithful companion is welcome to join you on the AVIVA Alm. There is a surcharge of € 15 per day and dog for additional cleaning. This makes the single hotel also a dog hotel & single vacation with dog in the Mühlviertel, a spacious area, perfectly possible.
We live in an unspoilt natural environment and use our resources carefully. We heat the AVIVA with pellet heating and a large part of the hot water is heated with solar heating. We source around 75% of our food locally (max. 50km journey) and brew our own beer with hops from our neighbours. There is a PV system with over 500kwp on the hotel roof and the car park roof. We generate around 70% of our electricity needs ourselves. The hotel’s own laundry with its own rainwater cistern saves countless kilometres for the transport of rented laundry. The 4-day working week of our 80 or so employees reduces the distance travelled to and from work by around 2,000 km.
We ask you to participate and do something good for the environment. Treat our nature and local animals with respect. Avoid unnecessary water consumption, don’t dispose of anything in our toilets, separate waste properly, don’t waste food and make use of our Green Option. With this option, you don’t have to clean your room. You can also protect our environment by not changing your hand and bath towels so often. This saves valuable resources and protects our environment 🙂
The AVIVA housekeeping and cleaning team cleans the guest rooms, the entire wellness area and all public areas of the hotel every day. The kitchen is extensively cleaned daily with the support of the latest cleaning technology. The water hygiene in the pools is checked daily and the indoor pool is cleaned several times a week using a robot. An independent institute and the public authorities test us regularly.
