Perched at an altitude of 1,000 meters, on the “balcony” of Upper Austria, in an idyllic corner of the Austrian Mühlviertel region near the Bohemian border, with a breathtaking view of the Alps, lies the private hotel for singles and solo travelers: the four-star superior Hotel AVIVA.
The concept is “make friends”—working together with a fantastic team to help others have a wonderful time, to inspire them, to give them strength for everyday life, to serve as a platform where people can get to know one another, and to make a beautiful vacation possible.

Life is colorful, and that’s why enjoyment, relaxation, sports, wellness, and one-on-one conversations have just as much a place here as joy, meaningful conversations, laughter, celebrations, and simply having fun!” Together with the approximately 75-member AVIVA team, we aim to further enhance the innovative approach of this lifestyle destination for singles, solo travelers, friends, and seminar or event guests in St. Stefan-Afiesl, Upper Austria.
Every employee at AVIVA should be able to put their skills into practice and continue to develop them. Appreciation and trust as the foundation of daily collaboration, a vision that everyone understands and can help shape, and a sense of family-like unity are the shared spirit of the entire AVIVA team.
The unique Hotel AVIVA has set itself 3 goals:
To be a great four-star superior quality hotel for singles, solo travellers and friends, with the aim of ensuring that guests can relax in the best possible way with wellness, sport, parties, new friends, fine food and lots of entertainment and return to their everyday lives reinvigorated
To be a great workplace for employees, where everyone can live out and expand their skills, always accompanied by a very good working atmosphere based on appreciation and mutual respect. Numerous benefits await the employees.
To work as resource-efficiently as possible and to achieve the best possible environmental protection with all available options. This is what we are currently doing!
We are not a perfect hotel, but we promise to do our best for our guests every day!

What they all have in common is their love of service, our guests and their homeland. The hotel is run by Christian Grünbart, the owner, and is a family-run business. Here, great importance is placed on being genuine hosts and creating a personal atmosphere. This is not a profit-oriented chain hotel, but a privately run hotel with a unique vision and the constant goal of giving our guests, you, a great time (or break).
