How can I check my consumption?
You can check all consumption bookings directly on the screen at our reception. If you notice any discrepancies, please make a complaint by 10 a.m. at the latest on the day following the booking. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any complaints after this deadline. Thank you for your understanding!

How long should the ideal stay be?
To really get to grips with the unique concept on a singles vacation, make lots of new friends and experience the extensive sports, activity and entertainment programme, we recommend a stay of at least 3 nights. But also for a short holiday in the Mühlviertel, a wellness vacation alone, to take a short break alone, to relax in nature, a short active vacation alone, for a weekend wellness vacation or a vacation with friends in between. AVIVA is the ideal hotel for singles, solo travellers or a vacation with friends (men included).
AVIVA Communication!
The AVIVA is located in a unique and beautiful place on this earth at almost 1,000 metres above sea level. As is customary in Austria, people are on first-name terms at this altitude. This makes it much easier to talk to each other at the singles hotel.
Why are there no couples and children at the AVIVA?
Communication, getting to know each other, new friendships, socialising and togetherness take centre stage at AVIVA. From our point of view, couples are a closed small group who usually want to spend their vacation as a couple and for themselves. In addition, there are only single rooms in the singles hotel and no tables for two, only large communication tables. PS: Dear couples and families, no need to be sad, other hotels also have beautiful wellness areas to suit your needs. We recommend our neighbouring partner hotels Bergergut and Hotel Guglwald. But perhaps you are planning a guys' holiday, a wellness weekend for friends or a mother-daughter vacation? Then we look forward to welcoming you to the AVIVA.
What is the difference between AVIVA and a classic wellness hotel?
There are many thermal hotels, family hotels or wellness hotels in Austria and Europe! However, AVIVA is unique and not a classic wellness hotel! Why? Therefore:
- In AVIVA, couples and children are not allowed, so the hotel is exclusively for singles, solo travellers and friends - in most hotels all age groups and target groups, from toddlers to seniors, families and seminars
- In AVIVA everyone is on first name terms, but still on a level and not everything is very formal
- Society, communication and joy are the focus of the hotel - more than just wellness
- Finding new friends is easy
- At the Hotel AVIVA, everything is right in the hotel. I don't have to leave the hotel to experience something. Wellness, sports, disco, alpine hut, restaurant and entertainment are all within walking distance under one roof. Travelling alone is now even easier.
- At AVIVA there are 100 sports and theme days per year - each week has its own sports theme. From hiking, salsa, yoga, skiing, biking, running, ...
- a daily sports and activity program for physical fitness and joint sports activities with other guests

Rules of the game in AVIVA
We are not a typical hotel, but rather unique, which is why we need a few rules! With our make friends concept, we are unique in Europe and only receive guests who are singles, solo travelers or come with friends. Communication, company, shared activities, fun, sports and celebrations are the focus, as is respectful interaction with other guests. excessively flirt and harangue our guests. Security in the hotel
Austria is generally considered a very safe country to travel to. There are rarely incidents in the hotel. A safe is available in the rooms. We are compliant to latest fire safety standards and regulations and our staff receive regular training.
Hygiene and cleanliness in the hotel?
The AVIVA housekeeping and cleaning team cleans the guest rooms, the entire wellness area and all public areas of the hotel every day. The kitchen is extensively cleaned daily with the support of the latest cleaning technology. The water hygiene in the pools is checked daily and the indoor pool is cleaned several times a week using a robot. An independent institute and the public authorities test us regularly.
Getting there
How is the journey in winter?
The AVIVA is located at almost 1,000 metres above sea level and is easily accessible all year round. Winter tyres are required in the winter months (mandatory in Austria between 1.11. and 15.4.). The roads are always quickly cleared and easy to drive on, even during long periods of snowfall. Snow chains are not usually necessary. Travelling is also possible by public transport. There is a shuttle from Linz main station and Passau to the Aviva with ideal rail connections from all major cities in Germany. Plan your journey
Does the hotel have an electric charging station?
Yes, there are 6 electric charging stations directly at the Hotel AVIVA, each with 22 KW, Type 2 plug. The usual charging cards and credit cards are accepted.

Room request?
Can I go on holiday with my dog at the AVIVA?
Dogs are often described as man's best friend. Rightly so, in our opinion. Because holiday time should also be spent together and your dog is very welcome at the AVIVA. Your dog can accompany you on hikes and many other outdoor activities from the MAKE FRIENDS activity programme every day. The only dog free zones are the Spa area - this includes the entire wellness garden; brewery; restaurant; dance club (disco) and the AVIVA Alm during evening events. However, your faithful companion is welcome to accompany you to the AVIVA Alm during the day. So, why not travel solo and make friends with man's best friend by your side? The surcharge for your holiday with your dog is 15,- per day and dog.
Sport
Sports and activity programme?
The daily sports and activity programme are all (with a few exceptions) included in the price of the overnight stay. Registration is sufficient when staying at the hotel and does not have to be done before arrival.
Culinary
Your own brewery?
Yes, AVIVA brews its own beer in its own brewery on-site. Around 1,000 litres of beer are brewed in four varieties (AVIVA Light Blonde; Dark Blonde; Wheat; and Bock) and served in the hotel. You are welcome to watch our Master Brewer, Manfred at work in the brewery (usually Tuesdays - Thursdays). There are guided tours of the brewery several times a week. While eating?
There is no seating arrangement for breakfast or dinner. Our communication tables offer space for 4 to 12 people. Every day with different guests or at a different table, depending on your mood. Our tip: arrive on time for the start of dinner - The AVIVA Team are there to welcome you. You won't get any funny looks here. As part of our sustainability strategy, we ask you to handle the food with care. You can go to the buffet more often or order a smaller portion if you are not a big eater. It is important to us that as little as possible ends up in the bin.
How can I give a tip?
Do you like what we do with heart and soul? The AVIVA team appreciates your tip. You are welcome to add the tip for the service team directly to your room when you settle your drinks bill. Or you can feed our piggy bank at check-out. Thank you very much! Your AVIVA Team.
The right clothes?
AVIVA is a high-quality hotel in the four-star superior category. We look forward to elegant attire with a casual look at dinner. The afternoon snack from 14.30 to 16.00 in the hotel lobby can be attended in your bathrobe.
SPA
Can I use the AVIVA wellness area as a day guest?
You are welcome to use our wellness area as a Day SPA guest . The day ticket from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. including afternoon snack costs 65 euros per person, the evening ticket from 5.30 p.m. costs 22 euros. Tip: Come straight to breakfast from 7.30 a.m. and treat yourself to a real day's vacation: daily rate including breakfast 90 euros. Except on Saturdays from October to April, the AVIVA spa area is reserved exclusively for our hotel guests. As in the hotel, no couples or children are allowed in the spa area, so a wellness vacation for singles is perfectly possible. This makes Mühlviertel ideal for a quick solo getaway and anything in between.
Should I book massage and beauty appointments in advance?
Our highly qualified and highly trained masseurs and beauticians are in high demand at our wellness hotel. We therefore recommend booking a treatment by telephone or online before you arrive. If you would like a consultation, simply give us a call.

What is the average age of the guests?
22% of guests are under 30 years old, 32% are between 30 and 39 years old, 26% are between 40 and 49 years old, 18% are between 50 and 59 years old and 2% of guests are over 60 years old.
Where do the guests come from?
Our guests come largely from German-speaking countries DACH.
Sustainability
Humane sustainability?
The more than 70 employees (depending on the season) are all registered and paid in accordance with all legal requirements. They can all receive free further education and training at our own Top Hotels Academy or from external training providers. In addition, all employees have access to all hotel facilities, as well as board and lodging, free of charge. Some departments have a 4-day working week (4 x 10 hours) and currently 15 employees take advantage of the offer of an electric car for a small additional payment.
Sustainability?
We live in an unspoilt natural environment and use our resources carefully. We heat the AVIVA with pellet heating and a large part of the hot water is heated with solar heating. We source most of our food locally and brew our own beer with hops from our neighbours. There is a 62kwp PV system on the hotel roof. We ask you to join in and do your bit for the environment.. Treat our nature and the local animals with respect. Avoid unnecessary water consumption, don't dispose of anything in our toilets, separate your rubbish properly, don't waste food and take advantage of our Green Option. With this option, you don't have to clean your room. You can also protect our environment by not changing your hand and bath towels so often. This saves valuable resources and protects our environment 🙂
